The Word

Jesus said, “My commandment is this: Love one another as I have loved you. The greatest love a person can have for his friends is to give his life for them. I do not call you servants any longer.       Instead, I called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my father. This, then, is what I command you: Love one another.”

What makes a good friend?  A friend is someone who is treated as an equal, someone  with whom we share our inner thoughts and feelings without fear. Jesus tells us that the greatest love a friend can have is to give his life for them.
