Corpus Christi Real Food Real Drink
The Word
On the first day of the Passover, the disciples gathered with Jesus in the upper room. Jesus took some bread, said a prayer of thanks, broke it and gave it to them. “Take it, this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks to God, handed it to them and they all drank. Jesus said, “This is my blood, the blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.”
Ex 24:3-8 | Ps 115 | Heb 9:11-15 | Mk 14:12-16, 22-26
Look Closer
Corpus Christi. Today’s feast is about the Eucharist as a sacrament of unity. When we break bread and share the one cup we recall the last supper before Jesus died on the Cross. Like the disciples, the Mass has bonded us in a love relationship. For this reason, the Eucharist is a call to unity and community.

We are delighted to spotlight a shining star Tessa who displays hard work, compassion, and creativity. She has not only demonstrated a strong work ethic in her class work but has also shown remarkable kindness and empathy towards her peers. Tessa often lends a helping hand or offers words of encouragement, helping to create a warm and supportive environment for all. She shares her creative talents in her intricate artworks and we were particularly impressed with her carefully crafted mosaic design featured in her Mother’s Day coaster. SPB4L
For weeks 5 and 6 our focus is on being ‘responsible’ for our learning, by presenting our classwork neatly and being organised with all of our equipment for learning. Our Joeys Gems box is getting VERY close to the first line, which means a surprise whole school reward when it is reached!
