New Mandagery Creek Bridge Community Event - 21st July 11:00am
Newsletter Term 2 Week 10 - 5th July 2024
Ordinary Time 14 STRENGTH In JESUS The Word
Jesus was teaching in Nazareth. The people were astonished, asking, “Where did this man get this wisdom? Surely this is the carpenter, the son of Mary.” And they would not listen to him. Jesus said, “A prophet is only despised in his own town.” And he could not work miracles there because of their lack of faith. Eze 2:2-5 | Ps 122 | 2 Cor 12:7-10 | Mk 6:1-6
Look Closer Strength in Weakness. It is in our weakness that we are most aware of our need for God. And so St Paul recounts God’s words to him, “My grace is all you need.”
Saints & Heroes BE A SAINT Leadership St Alphonsus Ligouri - 1696-1787 Alphonsus was a former lawyer and became a priest. He demonstrated leadership by being a good listener.

Thank you / Athletics News
Thank You Thank you to everyone for all your efforts and support during a very busy Term 2. We look forward to a break and a rest during the holidays, so we can be ready for a busy Term 3!
Combined Manildra Athletics Carnival We had a brilliant day last Friday ( Week 9 ) at our annual athletics carnival with Manildra Public School. The students all competed in every event and displayed superb effort. The encouragement shown to students to get them across the line was amazing. We had a sea of navy and gold with strong finishes and this was evident in our championships. Congratulations to our Champions and Runners up. A huge thanks to the Joey's P&F who once again cooked the best lunch and morning tea. Grant, Tracy and Jason who assisted with the line marking prior to the carnival. It was great to have James Sheahan students come to help run the carnival and the highlight was seeing them run against the houses in the relay event. Next term we'll be taking a Team to Southern Region Athletics in Canowindra, so keep fit over the holidays.
Southern Region Athletics Carnival The Southern Region Athletics Carnival will be held in Canowindra on Friday 2nd August 2024 for our selected representatives. The permission note was sent home on Wednesday. Please return the signed permission note in the first week of Term 3 if you have not already done so.
