Lent 3 Temple Trouble
The Word
Jesus went to the Temple in Jerusalem. There he found people selling animals and also the money changers sitting at their tables. With a whip he drove all the animals out of the Temple and overturned the tables. “Stop making my Father’s house a market place!” Jesus said.
Ex 20:1-17 | Ps 18 | Cor 1:22-25 | Jn 2:13-25
Look Closer
Rules of Life. A lot of people don’t like rules. They think that it is just the Church or God trying to control them. Yet God’s laws are not intended to restrict us, but to give us true freedom– the freedom to love and give of ourselves without limit to others. We can only be truly happy when we love and serve others.
Saints & Heroes BE A SAINT
Courage
St Genevieve - 419-512
Genevieve courageously gathered grain and gave it to people for food when the Franks invaded Paris and tried to starve the city.
Week 5 Spotlight
Oliver
Oliver is under our spotlight this week as our bright shining star. As one of our newest learners he has embraced school with a smile and a jig in his step. He is an animated storyteller. Oliver has shown he is ready to learn each day by following instructions and listening attentively. He enjoys playing with toy cars and drawing. Oliver can be found in the playground running around, joining in any game on offer and laughing with his friends. He is really excited to have his own school computer. Congratulations Oliver, on a wonderful start to your school life. We all look forward to watching you grow and learn.
